God’s Country

Interactive video installation that uses the viewers location, movement, and sound in the gallery to dictate factors on screen. Simple movements change the speed at which the time-lapse landscape shot plays and location of the playhead, virtually jumping back and forth in time giving the viewer control of the onscreen visuals. Simultaneously the more the viewer engages in the timeline the more the video in front of them deteriorates with no apparent way to undo the visuals they have caused to glitch. Over time the installation rebalances and sets itself back to its starting position.
