Augmented Conversations collaboration with Ron Sparks
Augmented Conversations is a generative, interactive installation, that uses the audio of the gallery as a call-and-response with the onscreen visuals. Language spoken in the installation space is recorded and converted to keywords that are used as search terms to return the top 3 animated gif’s. On screen the gif’s are represented in motion and layered to create a visual “equivalent” of what is communicated in the space. Often times viewers will have an auditory response to the onscreen visuals creating an echo chamber of images that mimic’s our typical online behavior.
